STUDENT GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE


The University Grants Commission (UGC) mandates the establishment of a Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) in all higher education institutions to address student complaints and ensure a fair and transparent academic environment. This committee is responsible for receiving, investigating, and resolving grievances related to academics, administration, infrastructure, and other student concerns. Ourself responsible for the wellbeing of all students and staff. Harassment of any kind constitutes will attract appropriate disciplinary action. Stepping forward, our college also established a Grievance Redressal Cell in 2012.

Process of SGRC Operations:

1. Receipt of Grievances:Students can submit their grievances through various channels, including online forms, email, or by submitting a written complaint.

2. Acknowledgement:The SGRC acknowledges the receipt of the complaint within a specified timeframe.

3. Investigation:The committee investigates the grievance by gathering information, interviewing relevant parties, and reviewing relevant documents.

4. Resolution:Based on the investigation, the SGRC provides a resolution to the grievance, which may include recommendations for action.

5. Reporting and Appeal:The SGRC reports its findings and recommendations to the relevant authorities and provides a copy to the student, who can appeal the decision if dissatisfied.

By establishing and implementing these guidelines, the UGC aims to create a more student-centric and responsive higher education system.

The institute was established in the year 1983, as per the vision of noted philanthropist industrialist Dr. K. N. Modi. For him responsible corporate citizenship included much more than becoming established business leaders in the chosen area of endeavour..
